My intention is to accompany individuals on their journey of self-discovery, healing, and transformation by honoring the innate wisdom of the body, the soma. It’s my belief that the body is a profound teacher and ally in the healing process and is the pathway to all healing and to the soul. My purpose is to facilitate a person's awareness, to meet and access their heart, their soul, their path, their true Self.
I work with individuals who are ready to explore the depths of their inner world with curiosity and courage. My clients are those who feel called to reconnect with their authentic selves, honor the wisdom of their bodies, and discover the truths that lie within their souls. Whether navigating life transitions, struggling with a life not fully lived, preparing for or facing death, and seeking deeper self-awareness, my client’s are open-hearted, introspective, and willing to engage in the transformative process of embodied soul work.
I have been serving people as a licensed psychotherapist, coach, mentor, and end-of-life doula for over 20 years. I have had the great honor of guiding individuals on their journeys toward healing, self-discovery, and transformation. My practice is rooted in the belief that each individual carries a divine intelligence that can be accessed through their body, their Soma, where the Soul lives. I guide individuals to discover and master the vast landscapes of their inner world where they connect to the deepest and truest expressions of their nature, their essence, their wholeness, and to their unique gifts.
I weave traditional psychotherapy with soul-centered practices, drawing from Jungian depth psychology, mindfulness, parts-work and somatic awareness.
I practice clumsily living my life from a place of authenticity with an open heart. Through my connection to play, humor, movement, mindfulness, breath, meditation, and nature I continue to deepen my relationship with all parts of myself, my connection to others, and to the unknown. And, I continue to learn the art of embracing the messiness of this life, of my humanness and the experience of just Being.
Education
I completed my undergraduate coursework at California State University at Long Beach. I went on to receive a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University at Los Angeles in 2006.
I continually work to stay current on the latest research and trends in clinical psychology. I regularly attend conferences, seminars, participate in training workshops, and am part of an ongoing professional consultation group.
Since 2018 I’ve studied the ways in which psychedelic medicines can enhance and deepen the therapeutic process. This along with Psychedelic Integration (the therapeutic processing of consciousness expanding experiences) is my current professional passion. Please note, I do not supply or administer any illegal substances.
Clinical Background
I’ve been practicing psychotherapy for over two decades. I am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (lic.#48345). I am also licensed in the states of Hawaii and Colorado. I see clients in my private practice in Long Beach, CA and see clients virtually from all other states.
I have served as a supervisor to a number of therapists beginning their careers in psychology. And currently I offer both individual and group consultation to therapists and other healing professionals who would like to learn ways of providing better support to clients that are using psychedelics for their healing and are looking for community.
